Toady this reconstructed historical mansion is a 4-Star Hotel and situated in the middle of a 100-hectare vineyard. The elegant spacious rooms are decorated with Empire furniture, beautiful art and luxurious color-coordinated fabrics. You can spend relaxing hours in the noble salon or in the library, dip into the outdoor pool or enjoy a 5 course meal, each course paired with a specially selected Grof Degenfeld wines, in the gourmet restaurant.
Last May we had the chance to stay at the Castle Hotel for several days and experience first hand all the amenities and the warm hospitality. Our highlight was an interview with the gracious Countess Maria Degenfeld about her love and enthusiasm for the winery. Her personal touches are evident in the hotel’s exquisite decor which make you feel like you would visit the countess at her own residence. To rebuild and manage a stellar award winning winery in Tokaj, required several years of hard work and combined effort from the Countess, her husband Dr. Lindner and from the Count Degenfeld himself.
